Often considered one of the funniest musicals ever written, "Forum" takes comedy back to its roots, combining situations from the 2,000-year-old comedies of the Roman playwright Platus with the energy of classic vaudeville and burlesque. The result is a high-speed, farcical romp and pure entertainment! In a desperate attempt to win his freedom, the slave, Pseudolus, attempts to help his young master, Hero, earn the love of a courtesan, Philia. Meanwhile, Pseudolus has to outsmart Hero's parents, the slave-master, Lycus, and the large man that has already paid for Philia, Miles Gloriosus. Also, an old man Erronious is desperately searching for his lost children. In the end, it turns out that Philia and Miles are brother and sister and the children of Erronious. Further, Philia is now allowed to marry Hero and Pseudolus gains his freedom. Featuring the dynamic energy of Michael Thomas as Pseudolus, this outstanding cast also includes talented newcomers Olivia Beardsley as Philia, Sam Morgan as Hero and Javier Vilarino as Miles Gloriosus, and Ashfield veterans Bob Chard, Katherine Wall, Malcolm Gregory and John Irvine in lead roles. Show dates/times are as follows: 18, 19, 25 & 26 May @ 8pm 19, 20, 26 & 27 May @ 1.30pm
