We end this year with a romantic comedy to send you into the festive season in a suitably happy frame of mind!
The Philadelphia Story (from which the musical High Society was then devised) tells the story of society Heiress Tracy Lord on the eve of her wedding to a worthy but slightly stuffy businessman. The proceedings are complicated by the arrival of her ex-husband on the scene, invited there by her younger sister without Tracy's knowledge! Add various members of the family, a news reporter and assorted family retainers and the scene is all set, with of course a happy ending.
Originally written for Katherine Hepburn this play is sure to be a winner.
Have dinner first at one of Mends Streets many restaurants and prepare for a relaxed and enjoyable evening out.
