Her young husband Hikaru – disturbed by her mysterious illness – discovers that he is not her only visitor. His jealous ex-lover, Yasuko appears to have become a late-night regular at Aoi’s bedside. Written by one of Japan’s most famous and passionate writers, Yukio Mishima, The Lady Aoi crackles with sexual tension, dark energy and hidden aggression. With its supernatural undercurrents and haunting images, this production by brilliant young director Matthew Lutton promises to draw its actors and audiences into a new realm of theatrical experience. Don’t miss this seductive meditation on the pleasure and pain of eroticism in what promises to be one of the highlights of the 2007 UWA Perth International Arts Festival. “Now is the hour of love. Of loving, of fighting, of hating…” Nurse Performance dates: Preview: Friday 2 February 8.00pm Opens: Saturday 3 February 8.00pm Season: Monday 5 February 6.30pm Tuesday 6 February 8.00pm Wednesday 7 February 11.00am Wednesday 7 February 8.00pm Thursday 8 February 8.00pm Friday 9 February 9.00pm Saturday 10 February 2.15pm Saturday 10 February 8.00pm Monday 12 February 6.30pm Tuesday 13 February 6.30pm Wednesday 14 February 11.00am Wednesday 14 February 6.30pm Thursday 15 February 8.00pm Friday 16 February 8.00pm Saturday 17 February 8.00pm Ticket Prices: Standard $40.00 Concession $35.00 [conditions apply] PIAF Friends $35.00 [conditions apply] Student $20.00 [conditions apply] Groups 6+ $38.00 [receive 1 free ticket for bookings 10 or more/2 Free tickets for bookings of 20 or more people] Preview $30.00 Subscriptions Opening Night, 6 Play, 5 Play & 3 Play packages Available from BSTC 6389 0311 or www.bstc.com.au Individual/Group Ticket Bookings: BOCS Ticketing 9484 1133 www.bocsticketing.com.au BOCS Group Bookings 9321 6831 Note: BOCS transaction fees may apply
