If you've seen the movies "The Shop Around the Corner" or "You've Got Mail", then you know the basic plot device of this delightful musical comedy.
"She Loves Me" is the story of Georg and Amalia, two lonely shop assistants in a European parfumerie, who secretly find solace in their anonymous romantic pen pals, little knowing that their respective correspondents are none other than each other. In letters, they are soul mates - in real life, they are feuding, bickering co-workers. Each has grand, romantic visions of the other, though in fact, the correspondents' "Dear Friend" approach has kept them from even knowing the other's name.
