Returning to the Genesian Theatre, director Roger Gimblett brings the Bard's last work to the stage.Prospero, former Duke of Milan and student of magic, and his daughter Miranda are stranded on an Island with only their slave Caliban and the spirit Ariel for company.
A passing ship, wrecked on the Island through Prospero’s art, brings the opportunity for revenge, reconciliation and love. Taking place in a surreal world of spirits and magic this classic Shakespeare offers a tour de force of stage design and special effects whilst at the same remaining at heart a very simple and human tale of forgiveness.
