Alex wakes up one morning to find her ex-boyfriend, Neil, on the sofa bed. Several months earlier, Neil left in pursuit of another woman but now he's returned...and he wants the flat.
Over the course of a single weekend Alex and Neil scratch in the rubble and the remains of their relationship, exhuming in rows, fresh resentments and some of the tenderness they lost. In this battle for personal space, is Neil the tenant from hell with the law on his side, or is he after something more sinister?
Dogs Barking portrays the lives of the Generation X, inner city, urban couples for whom life is a series of careers, relationships, passion and pain.
Written by Richard Zajdlic, head writer of popular BBC series This LifeÂ’ (screened on ABC), Dogs Barking is a study in jealousy, passion and emotional violence.
