AddressSydney Opera House
The McDonald College will celebrate its 20th anniversary in style with a one night only performance at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Sunday, November 30 - and some of their best known graduates will be making a special appearance.

To be compared by international supermodel Sarah O'Hare (a graduate of the college), the performance will feature both past and current students - who will trace the history of the College through dance, music and acting. Among those performing will be Nikki Webster, who stole Australia's hearts at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and went on to appear in 'The Wizard Of Oz'.

Ms Webster is the patron of Camp Quality, a charity organisation which will receive all profits from the Anniversary Performance.

As well as Ms Webster, other artists performing live include Gina Brescianini, Stephen Wilson and Craig Cathcart (all from the Australian Ballet), classical pianist Iva Durakovic, Zoe Goetz and Scott Webster (both of whom have moved on to study at WAPPA), Andrew Koblar (Shout, Hair, Bye Bye Birdie, I've Been Doing Some Thinking), Emily Garth and her brother Edward (students of Voice at the Sydney Conservatorium), actors and NIDA graduates Joshua Quong Tart (All Saints) and Bojana Novakovic, and renowned jazz performer Sally Stevens.

Also scheduled to appear is Tim Draxl, who took Australia and New York by storm in the cabaret and musical theatre industry, and most recently appeared in the ABC Television Mini-Series SharkNet.

Fellow graduates Kathleen De Leon (Hi-5), Robert Curran (Principal Artist of The Australian Ballet), Josef Brown (Principal Artist at the Sydney Dance Company), Terry Kohler (choreographer currently studying in Germany) and Lisa Bayfield (studying at the London Contemporary Dance School) will all be making special appearances via video.

The McDonald College provides a unique meshing of general schooling with the performing arts. Looking after the general Kindergarten to year 12 classes, and taking in the HSC, students also take part in performing arts classes each day. The College also hosts various courses, including the Certificate IV Musical Theatre course, which has assisted in launching the career of some of Australia's top young theatre talent. Recent graduates have included Amy Mizzi (Home And Away) and Belinda Wollaston, who is currently touring Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia in the smash hit musical, Mamma Mia.

The McDonald College 20th Anniversary Performance plays for one night only, Sunday 30 November, at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. Tickets are $55 for adults and $35 concession.
