An old man has been in jail for 17 years. The permanent winter of maximum-security prison has leached his memory. The colours, words, and faces are gone. A young man is allotted to his cell and in exchange for protection he is forced to tell the old man stories. As the fairytales bleed into reality the men must face their crimes and who they really are.
