Greg & Kate live in Manhatten. Greg is bored with his job, Kate is finding hers more and more fulfilling. Greg arrives home from a jog in the park with Sylvia. a street smart mix of labrador and poodle who appears to have adopted him.
Greg and Sylvia bond, Kate doesn't want or even like Sylvia but following lots of comic misunderstandings the play ends, if not happily ever after, at least long enough for the play to finish happily.
