“I haven’t heard screaming like that since ‘Sing-A-Long-A Sound Of Music’”… This new play from the writer/director of The Great Unwashed follows the fortunes of a morally bankrupt couch potato who runs over an actress. Unintentionally killing herself in the crash, she is sent to Hell and given an appropriate punishment: to spend eternity as a character in her favourite soap opera. Quickly realizing that a cheesy, badly written T.V. show is no place to live, her mind becomes consumed with only one thought – escape…
Back by popular demand after a highly successful run at Curtin University in 2000, As The World Warps is an anarchic, irreverent black comedy about obsession, alienation and bad T.V. brought to you by some of W.A.Â’s most exciting new theatre talent.
