Teenage Acting Workshops
Barking GeckoÂ’s after school Teenage Program is all about performance and the skills required. Each term is stand alone and the program never repeats itself, providing many benefits to the long term participant.
Term One; The Tools of Performance Involving improvisation, devising and performing monologues and the South American technique of Guerilla theatre.
Culminates in a special invisible theatre performance at Gecko Bytes revue day
Term Two: Devised theatre
The art of going from idea to concept to
performance and the skills needed to make something from nothing!
Culminates in a special in class workshop
Term Three: Scripted performance
How to interpret, perform and deliver those lines on the page (and how to get them there in the first place)
Culminates in a performance on the Subi theatre Centre main stage!
Term Four:The real deal!
Term Four is devoted to planning, preparing and producing a special production for the public in Subiaco Theatre Centre Gardens!
All terms include special guest tutors !
It all sounds a bit complex!
No way! Barking GeckoÂ’s teenage workshops are fun, combining high energy theatre games with easy to learn new activities which will develop any teenagers theatre skills in a safe, non-competitive environment.
When? Teenage workshops run during the school term at...
Joondalup on Tuesdays from 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Subiaco on Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
More Information? All Teenage
workshops are limited to 15 participants, so spaces are strictly limited.
