GODSPELL is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all
time. Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew the production features
a sparkling, original score by Stephen Schwartz. GODSPELL boasts a string
of recognizable songs, led by the international hit, Day By Day, Prepare Ye
The Way Of The Lord, and All Good Gifts, to name a few.
The show, which is not built on a traditional plot, but utilizes clowning,
pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville to tell the story of Christ.
A pageant that moves from moment to moment, GODSPELL expresses the joy of
the life of Jesus by ten performers, but does not preach in the formal
sense. Audience members will see the parables of Jesus Christ come humanly
and joyously to life.
