John Curtin College of the Arts proudly presents "SHOWCASE 2001". This is a celebration of Year Twelve achievement in Performing Arts.
The College has an outstanding reputation Australia wide for its Dance, Drama and Music programs and October 27th at His Majesty's Theatre will recognize JCCA's and the Education Department's commitment to excellence in Performing Arts.
Some success stories from JCAA are Paul Mecurio (Strictly Ballroom, Sydney Dance Company, "The Day of the Roses"), Greg Stone (currently in "The Bank"), Maya Stange ("Love in Limbo", "In a Savage Land"), Simon Lyndon ("Black Rock", "Cloud Street"), Rachael Blake ("NIDA Graduate, "Wildside" ABC TV Series, AFI Award Best Actress 1998, Logie Award Best Actress 1999), Pippa Cooke (Hamburg Ballet Company), Rachel Usher ("Buzz Dance Theatre"), Ian McCloud ("Buzz Dance Theatre"), Ean Grieve ("Buzz Dance Theatre" Production Manager), Brooke Leeder ("Chunky Moves").
Well known professional artists such as Chrissie Parrott, Stefan Karisson, Nicola Renton, Andrew Hull and Kathy Hole among others have been working along side JCCA's up and coming talent to produce "Showcase 2001".
