each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way....

The Act-O-Matic 3000 Inc presents the Australian premiere of...

A Devil Inside

by David Lindsay-Abaire
directed by Shaun Kingma

murder, gore and psychosis kept the house laughing
-The New York Times

On Gene SlaterÂ’s 21st birthday, his mother announces that his father was murdered 14 years ago. "He was stabbed in the back and his feet were lopped off and thrown into a drainage ditch"

So begins a darkly comic caper of passion and revenge.

Will hapless Gene please his formidable mother and find the killer? Could it have anything to do with Caitlin, the fiery and unbalanced object of GeneÂ’s affection who obsesses over Anna Karenina almost as much as she obsesses over her tormented Russian Literature professor, Carl, who in turn is plotting to kill Brad, the dull and insignificant repair man who has been sheltering the mysterious artist Lily whom he met in the Poconos 14 years ago...?

The Act-O-Matic 3000, the company who brought you sell out seasons of the critically acclaimed "The Laramie Project" (***** - The Sunday Age) and "bash" (first class - The Age), is excited to present A Devil Inside by David Lindsay-Abaire.

DonÂ’t miss this hilariously absurd black comedy of vengeance, love, Dostoyevsky and feet.

Lots of feetÂ…
