Starting out
Thu, 1 June 2006, 07:46 pmI would like to get into acting, ultimately to act on TV - commercials, soapies (you know, the regular dream). But I have no idea where to start.
Can you guys please suggest some agencies that would be the best starting points who have the most success finding actors roles - however big or small - on television?
Also, how do they work? Do they pay? Do I pay?

you do not pay
The best way to go is to approach some agents in your capital city and get on thier books, or look around for 'cattle calls' large group auditions. Yes, television pays, its good to be a member of actors equity to protect yourself. You never pay for a role or for an agent. Be careful, this is how young actors get scammed.
:) good luck
