12 year old girl wanting to do theatre - help wanted!

Hello, can anyone help us?? My 11 (nearly 12) year old stepdaughter is, unlike me, quite theatrically talented and very enthusiastic to become a part of a play or similar theatre production. She resides mostly in the Tablelands district of north Queensland, but spends school holiday time here with us in WA. How can I go about getting her involved in something in Perth?? Are there short-term productions ie over school holidays that kids can become involved with? Her mother is also very supportive of her interest but where they live is quite regional but if anyone knows of anything around Atherton that would help us also. I'm thinking her best chance is in Perth, but because she's not here full time it may be a challenge - she would be very happy with a minor role and is a smart, lovely natured, easy kid who would learn and gain confidence quickly.
