AUDITIONS: SATURDAY 15th AUGUST 2009 TIME: 9:00am-1:00pm LOCATION: QUT KELVIN GROVE (email for room number) CALLBACKS: DATE: SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST 2009 TIME: 10.00am – 1.00pm LOCATION: QUT Kelvin Grove Campus ROLES: La Marquise de Merteuil (25-30) – A viciously manipulative widow of vast wealth and means. Mme. de Volanges (25-35) – Prudish mother of Cecile and gossipy cousin of the Marquise de Merteuil. Cecile Volanges (18-21) – The convent educated 15-year-old daughter of Mme. de Volanges, Mme. de Rosemonde (30+) – The maternal virtuous aunt of Valmont. La Presidente de Tourvel (20-24) – A woman famous for her strict morals, religious fervour and the happiness of her marriage. Emilie (20-25) – An infamous courtesan favoured by Valmont. Le Vicomte de Valmont (25-30) – a notorious sexual conqueror who is eventually destroyed by his relationships with women. Azolan (20-25) – Dapper young manservant who serves as a spy for Valmont. Le Chevalier Danceny (18-25) – A lovesick young music teacher oblivious to the scheming around him. Majordomo (25+) – The all-seeing Steward of the Marquise de Merteuil’s household. Note: In addition to these roles there are also the various servants who occupy the Merteuil, Rosemonde, Tourvel and Valmont households.
