Where does one begin?

I have a passion for performance. I let go of that passion a long time ago, still as a naiive girl in her teens, when "older, more wiser" adults around me advised that being struck by lightening was more likely than being gainfully employed in theatre / television. Fast forward to mid 30s life analysis (breakdown is such a harsh word!) and I want to reconnect with my life passions. One of which is to see if I can still come alive on stage like I used to. But where does one start? I'm simply looking for enjoyment of the experience and maybe to bring inspiration to others. Paid or not paid isn't important to me. I have no idea where to start... someone suggested this website... so here I am. Now what?! All advice welcome! Jill
