Thoughts

I sit perusing my script and damning the writer for having my character say "Don't worry, everything will be fine, leave it to me." or various similar combinations 10 or so times in the script, which leaves me unsure as to which part of the script I am currently in, and hoping I don't jump from Act I to ActII.
"Would you like a drink"....maybe 5 or 6 times.
:P
One particular point made me think. I have a line, after which I turn to one of the other actors with a quizzical look, as if to say "What do you think?"
I thought to myself - "I turn to look at her, and she has the next line....Do some in the audience see that, and think I'm simply telegraphing where the next line comes from?"
I know that I'm not, but do they? Will they see this as the "trap for young players", like mouthing the words of the other actor?
I know this is a small thing, but it got me to thinking how easily the audience could misconstrue such a small thing, and how things such as this may make it into a review, and then the actor feels the need to set the record straight, and it all starts again........
ANYWAY.....
Suddenly at Home by Francis Durbridge opens this Friday at Melville Theatre
Ph 93304565 to book.
I'll go back to my script now....
