University Queries

Hello!
I am a year 12 student in search of inside info into the drama/music universities.
I have always had every intention of pursuing a career an Opera singer, simply because I have a voice perfectly suited for classical music. However, after changing schools and gaining multitudes of confidence singing jazz and acting in various roles, I want to study drama very seriously as well, in pursuit of a TV/film career. I guess I'm passionate about music and drama... or perhaps self expression in general.
To study Opera, Melbourne University has the best course.
For acting, it's NIDA, VCA or WAPPA I'm told.
My problem is that I'm not sure how to combine a double degree of classical singing and drama. I don't want to throw away all my music (many, many grades of AMEB, theory etc) training by focusing soley on acting, but I don't want to ignore my passion for acting as well. I'm quite confused...
I am prepared to go interstate or overseas.
Does anyone know what I can do about my predicament?
Thankyou!
