Despite the fame of this title, I lost interest in transcribing it for several reasons. The relaxed attitude to slavery and the arms trade are problematic. The setting seems a bit irrelevant to our country. Also, there are copies of the text online already. I prefer other works by the same author. Howard wrote three and a half hours worth of screenplay adapted from the novel. Hollywood may have an interest in trying to create uncertainty about ownership of the copyright, but having seen the original text, I see no difference between his writing and the film. text http://www.scarlettonline.com/Gone_with_the_Wind_script.htm
