AUDITIONS 7 Centaur Productions are holding auditions between the 26th of September and the 10th of October for their next film "A Solo Symphony". A Solo Symphony uses magic realism to tell a story about a girl searching for beauty. The Girl and the Man travel through different landscapes collecting a flower squeezing through a jetty’s planks... a purple jellyfish... a setting sun… They hope when they return home, their collection will make their life beautiful. The Girl: Aboriginal (14-25 yrs). Loveable and innocent but self indulgent and blunt. She is desperate for beauty. She has low self-confidence and relies heavily on her environment to make her happy. She hates that the Man is always with her. She feels that she is tied to him. The Man: Caucasian, Australian (25-40 yrs). The Girl’s carer and admirer. He is both innocent and wise. He is sturdy and at one with nature. He adores the Girl even though she pulls away from him. She is beautiful and young, so he tries to accept her for who she is, and to support her in her endeavours. He feels connected to her.
