The Cagebirds - Best Production - Deloraine Drama Festival 2011

Congratulations to Margaret Forster and the talented Cast of The Cagebirds on their win for Best Production at the 2011 Deloraine Drama Festival.

Devonport Repertory Theatre Society have won the Deloraine Drama Festival with the David Campton one-act play, The Cagebirds. The play was also staged at the Devonport Art Gallery last Thursday October 6th in preparation for the festival, which was run this past weekend October 8th and 9th. Thirteen plays in all were presented and they were adjudicated by Dennis Betts of Hobart. The Cagebirds was named as Best Production of the Year.

The Cast were: Julie-Anne Jolly, Lynda Derrico, Louise Davidson, Lyndsay Taylor, Dorothy Baucza, Robyn Martin and Robyn Lawrence.

Margaret Forster, Director, was applauded for her brilliant direction.

The girls celebrated their win by sipping champagne from silver goblets which were presented to them by the Festival's Directors.
