Casting for the Feature Film, Going Alone
Tuesday 8 June 2010
Good Morning,
I hope this correspondence finds you well. I am currently casting for a Feature Film that I have written, Going Alone.
The premise for this creative project is twofold:
- to creative a bigger creative pie for talented, emerging actors in Queensland (in the main)
- to tell an important, bitter-sweet story
If there are any indigenous actors out there (have tried Kooemba Jdarra Indigenous Performing Arts but the phone number appears to be disconnected) who would like to try out for the role of Travis - an ASIS (Australian Secret Intelligence Service) air pilot - would love to have you contact me (045 0228 511, email diatom2@pacific.net.au).
You need to be 30 something, good speaking voice that transitions from congenial to professional
While it is not a big role it is substantial. It is envisaged that the film will be submitted into film festivals and hopefully screened here in Australia and overseas. It is deferred payment at this stage which may change if we are successful in securing funding.
We will be seeking funding and a Production crew once I have the roles filled. Our actor ensemble will each have to screentest(a scene with screen partner) that will be shot and put onto a DVD. It is envisaged that this will then be presented as a 'package deal' to potential Directors, Producers etc (in order to secure those roles for those actors)
Please contact me if you require more information
Best wishes for a great day
