Audition For Old Fitzroy Theatre Performance

Deli Chick is a play about ‘working with dead meat, fermented cheese and dead personalities’. This is how Rachel sums up her uneventful, loveless life as a Deli Chick. Struggling to make a decision about her future she finds herself trapped behind the counter of the Supermarket Deli with a greek butcher boy, a Bulgarian illegal immigrant and frustrating med-student while under the pedantic eye of their militant boss. But with a surprise visit from the Big Boys everything is about to change.

SANDRA; Deli manager who is gay, bossy and unemotional. People often assume Sandra is a 13 year old boy.

Performance dates are 14th and 15th of August at the Old Fitzroy Theatre. Fringe Festival dates between 10th-26th September. Four nights TBC. Rehearsals will be Monday and Thursday from 7:30pm at Oxford Falls on the Northern Beaches.
