Lucy Eyre was a Workshop Leader at Interact '02 and Barking Gecko Theatre Company and is now offering classes at The Blue Room Theatre in Northbridge. This professional Directing Course lasts for 7 weeks, every Monday evening, between 6.00pm-9.00pm, from 14 October to 25 November.
If you have always wanted to take that first step into directing a one-act play and want to know how to get started or feel ready to go for the full-length production but need a few tips to see it through with confidenceÂ…then look no further.
You will learn how to get the best out of your actors and deal with the technical requirements of the play to create an exciting and dynamic production.
Various theatrical conventions will be explored with the view to their application and development when used in well-known plays, as well as the play you may have in mind to direct. Also, methods of famous directors such as Brecht, Spolin, Peter Brook and Mike Leigh will be examined with the view to the approach and application of their directing techniques.
Course cost: $150 for 7 weeks - 2 hours per week - between 6.00pm to 9.00pm (exact time to be decided with participants). Maximum of 8 people per class so enrol now to secure your place either by phone 0417 971 430 or email: lucyeyre@iinet.net.au
