Violence. Possession. Ecstasy.

Sound like your kind of theatre?
UDS is proud to present "a play of dislocating power. compassion and intelligence". The anarchic, sexually ambigous god Dionysus breaks free from Euripides' Bacchae and onto the modern stage - "He is the coursing of the blood through the veins and the throbbing intoxication of nature and of sex. He represents the emotional and the irrational in human beings, which drives them relentlessly to mob fury, fanaticism, and violence, but also to the highest ecstasy of mysticism and religious experience. Within Dionysus lies both the bestial and the sublime."

If you would like to be involved in this exciting fusion of theatre and dance, exploring the themes of violence, possession and ecstasy then UDS is looking for young actors to come along and audition this Thursday to Saturday, from 10am to 3pm, at the Bradley Studio, UWA. (Its just next to the Octagon Theatre and on the opposite side to the Dolphin!)
You can either prepare a 2-3 minute monologue demonstrating your talent, or be given something to read when you arrive. Auditions should take between 10 and 15 minutes, but please call Simon on 0402814732 in order to book a time. Dance experience is preferrable but by no means necessary! :D

***** AUDITIONS HAVE MOVED to the UDS Clubroom, which is upstairs in Cameron Hall, which is in the same building as, and directly behind the TAV. Ask anyone walking by and they can tell you were the Tav is! The Tav is part of the Guild Village next to the Oak Lawn if that helps *****
