Lucy Eyre was a Workshop Leader at Interact '02 and Barking Gecko Theatre Company and is now offering classes at The Blue Room Theatre in Northbridge. This Professional Method Acting Course lasts for 8 weeks, every Saturday morning, 10.00am-1.00pm, from 27 July to 14 September.
If you're serious about entering the acting industry or just have a keen interest in the workings of this art form with the view to progressing into community and/or professional theatre, then come along and experience the rewards of performing when you know the secrets.
The classes will give you the opportunity to learn and implement the different methods of acting including the techniques of Stanislavski and Chekhov incorporating improvisation, stage movement and physical theatre techniques. The methods will be explored through classical and contemporary dialogues and monologues.
The group will work towards a performance piece which will be performed either as an informal presentation or developed into a full-scale production.
Course cost: $160 for 8 weeks - 3 hours per week.
