Auditions are open to children aged from 6 – 18 at time of performance. Victorian Residents only. Experience is not required, just a passion for theatre and a passion for learning. People applying should: 1) Have a passion for theatre or want to get a break 2) See theatre as a hobby or as a career 3) Want to meet other likeminded individuals 4) To have fun and make a whole heap of friends 5) To learn about theatre, drama and acting No Experience in singing, dancing or acting is required (just professionalism). AUDITIONS ARE BEING HELD: Saturday 16th June, Sunday 17th June Saturday 23rd June, Sunday 24th June Callbacks Saturday 30th June ** Auditions are 10 minutes in length, and audition material supplied upon audition booking REHEARSALS There will be two cast groups, with each group rehearsing 1 day a week: GROUP (A) - Saturdays 10:00am - 2:00pm GROUP (B) - Sundays 9:30am - 1:30pm 100% dedication and commitment is required for musical productions. All rehearsals take place in DONCASTER, Victoria. PERFORMANCES Will take place at MAHON THEATRE (Ringwood) during 26th October - 4th November 2012, with each group performing 3 shows. There is a fee of $275 per child (if successful during casting) which covers all show costs, keepsake official Disney script, rehearsal materials, costumes, venue hire, royalties, etc. This fee is charged as we do not receive grants or sponsorship and this fee is used to cover such costs, and the running of the drama lessons associated with the rehearsals. We offer a variety of musical/dramatic productions each year, along with the opportunity to learn about theatre craft at the same time. We combine both theory and practical experience in one program. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
