AUDITION NOTICE

“WE’LL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS”
Harbour Theatre’s 3rd season for 2012 to be directed by the award winning Nicola Bond.
A retired school mistress from Haslemere, Nancy, who now lives in Paris, has invited a recently widowed friend from her school days to stay for a weekend. Enter plain, unattractive, mouse-like Anna, who is completely out of her depth in this foreign environment. Her discomfort intensifies with the appearance of another ex-pat, Rachel alias Raquel. Clad in mini skirt, black tights and high heels, she believes in hitting the sack with any toy boy that comes her way, her favourite tag line being: ‘As the archbishop said to the actress.’
The sole male is Charlot, an actor-turned-handyman at the beck and call of Madame Boussiron, the overbearing landlady who couldn’t be anything but French.
This is a feel good play with laughter and tears, the promise of romance, friendship and anger and the advantages and disadvantages of growing old.
Season dates are July 19th (charity night) to 4th August (11 performances).
