Beauty and the Beast - ages 6 - 17 only

Auditions are being held for Beauty and the Beast and our drama program for ages 6 - 17 between Saturday 21st January - Tuesday 24th January 2012. Seeking 70 students (for two cast groups). 20 main roles on offer in each cast group, plus a large ensemble. Now is your chance to shine!! KIDZ ACT is a children's theatre company and drama school for ages 6 - 17 located in Doncaster, Vic. We offer a variety of musical/dramatic productions each year, along with the opportunity to learn about theatre craft at the same time. We combine both theory and practical experience in one program. This season (Feb - May) we are holding auditions for Beauty and the Beast, a beloved story cherished by many. With larger than life characters, and a huge ensemble, we are seeking two casts groups of a maximum of 35 cast members each. Auditions go for 15 minutes in length. Preparation details are included in the audition pack emailed out upon booking an audition. Rehearsals take place every saturday and most sundays for principal roles. 100% dedication and commitment is required for musical productions. There is a fee of $220 per child (if successful during casting) which covers all show costs, rehearsal materials, costumes, venue hire, royalties, etc. This fee is charged as we do not receive grants or sponsorship and this fee is used to cover such costs, and the running of the drama lessons associated with the rehearsals.
