Set in the swinging sixties seven teenagers dance and eye each other and flirt on a Saturday night at popular Club A Go Go in a town in the British provinces.

Sue is going out with Gary, but he flirts with Penny and the other girls at every opportunity. Sharon and Rick like each other but are too shy to tell each other. Eddie is challenged by the boys to persuade "frigid" Bridget to "touch his whatsit" by closing time, and club owner, aging rocker Eric "Rubber-legs" DeVine, watches and lends an ear to the young people as they navigate the rituals of teenage fashion, music, sexual moves and relationships.

This new Perth theatre company brings to life a fun musical from the swinging sixties! Season commences end of May 2012 with rehearsals held according to cast availability.

ROLES:

Eric(30-45) - Club a Go-Go owner, a hard man with a soft spot for his patrons

Gary(15-25) - A good looking, hunky, chauvanistic braggart. Think's he's God's gift to women. The leader of the gang of boys. Acts tough but when it comes to it is a bit of a coward

Rick(15-25) - The innocent of the group, shy, but very engaging. He looks up to Gary and tries to imitate him

Eddie(15-25) - Toughest mod out - A real pill-popping goon-ball. He appears stupid, but there is more to him than meets the eye

Bridget(15-25) - (Frigid Bridget as she's known to the boys), is the natural leader of the girls. She considers herself a cut above everyone else in the Club. A rather imposing girl

Sue(15-25) - Gary's long-suffering girlfriend. She adores Gary. She is slightly overweight with a big bust; is totally insecure and has rather a low opinion of herself. She is constantly putting on a brave face and holding back the tears

Sharon(15-25) - the new girl. Rick's female equivalent. Sweet and shy, a pretty girl in an ordinary 'girl next door' way

Penny(15-25) - the 'easy' girl of the Club. Much sexier and more knowing than the others. Attractive in a brassy way

All actors are required to sing, and dance at least a little; an English accent would be appreciated but isn't necessary.
