Set in 1926, this classic Ben Travers farce takes us away from today’s tacky graphic sex, drugs and violence filled world, to an age of naughty innocence.
The main players plunge deeper into trouble as they try to wheedle their way out of the sticky situation they find forced upon them.

GERTRUDE TWINE........30’s, critical, matronly, suspicious type seaside resident
MRS. LEVERETT........The “Help”, stoutish, bit gruff, local woman
HAROLD TWINE........short feeble man, Gertrude’s husband
CLIVE POPKISS........30’s, bit of a sport, lady’s man, Gerald’s cousin GERALD POKISS........30’s, reformed sport after recent marriage to Clara
RHODA MARLEY........very pretty young thing
PUTZ........Unpleasant brutish man, German caricature, Rhoda’s step-father ADMIRAL JUDDY........a fierce, weather- beaten veteran.
POPPY DICKEY........young village girl
CLARA POPKISS........Gerald’s wife, Gertrude’s sister
MRS POSSETT........Gertrude & Clara’s mother. Can be played by a member of backstage crew. Very minor role.
