SEUSSICAL AUDITIONS

AUDITIONS will be held at Koorliny Arts Centre on January 14 at 9am for the upcoming production of Seussical. The story is an amalgamation of many of Dr Seuss’s famous books, creating a fantastical, musical extravaganza. The story centres around Horton, who finds himself faced with a double challenge - not only must he protect his tiny friend Jojo (and all the invisible Whos) from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. A story that will make audiences laugh and cry, it focuses on themes of friendship, loyalty, family and community, making this an ideal musical production for the April school holidays. All main roles are up for grabs, with chorus roles also available. Actors must be over 12 years, with singing and dancing skills preferred, but everyone with an interest in performing is encouraged to audition. To book a timeslot email jon@koorliny.com.au
