The old, converted vegetable shop where Tillie lives is more like a madhouse than a home. Beatrice is bitter and cruel, yet desperate for her daughters' love. In the midst of chaos, Tillie struggles to keep her focus and dreams alive. Tillie - keeper of rabbits,a dreamer of atoms, true believer in life, hope, and the effect of gamma rays on man-in-the-moon marigolds.

Roles:
Beatrice - stage age 30's attractive but having lived a difficult life and struggling to cope
Tilly - stage age 14 intelligent daughter of Beatrice, quiet
Ruth- stage age 16 Beatrice's eldest daughter, more like her mother, ooutgoing
Janice - stage age 14 - fellow student of Tilly (small speaking role)
Nanny - elderly woman (non-speaking role)
