Actress required to play the Femme Fatale character for short noir feature 'Green Harvest'. Rita is the statuesque beauty of the film, appearingly seemingly out of nowhere to seduce the protagonist, Doug, a pot smoking loser who dreams of writing pulp. Her beauty immediately transfixes Doug, who regards her as the "most beautiful woman" he has ever seen. Whatsmore, she shares a mutual love of pot and film noirs with Doug, convincing him she is the love of his life. However, Rita is not all that she seems - her past is shady and her intentions for Doug are even more so. She disappears as mysteriously as she appeared in the first place - with tragic consequences. Rita is the quintessential Femme Fatale character. Confident and beautiful, she uses this to get what she wants - particularly with men. She oozes sexuality: in the way she walks, the way she talks, the way she looks. However, for all the power she wields, there is an underlying vulnerability - she favours escapism, which underlines her love of noir, pot and sex. And while she loves men, she is desperately fearful of any emotional attachment because she sees it as a loss of her power - compounding her vulnerability, and the reason why she sabotages her relationship with Doug. Keeping in the tradition of all the great noir films, Green Harvest will be shot in black and white. Auditions to be held on Sunday 24th January from 1:30pm. Contact for more details.
