Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2009 - Beware the Ides of March

We are currently holding auditions for the “Macarthur Playwriting Festival 2009 – Beware the Ides of March”. The read thru will be held on 2nd November 2009 & the auditions will be held on 4th November 2009. Both the script read thru and auditions are being held at the Reeve Memorial Hall (Campbelltown Uniting Church), Allman Street Campbelltown and will commence at 7:45pm. (Drama) Characters: Myra: A wife finding out about her husband’s infidelity. Female aged 25+ Paul: A husband who is found out by his wife. Male aged 25+ Play # 2: A Tale of Two Men Synopsis: Two very drunk men are trying to work out what a soothsayer means by “Beware the Ides of March”. They get it wrong and one come to an untimely end. (Comedy) Characters: Soothsayer: A Man with a sandwich board over his shoulders (non speaking). Male aged 18+ 1st Drunk: A drunken man sitting on park bench. Male aged 18+ 2nd Drunk: A second drunken man sitting on a park bench. Male aged 18+ Woman: A passerby who is a “know it all” and feels she needs to correct the drunks. Female aged 18+ Play #3: Nine-Thirty-Six Synopsis: 3 people wait and recount their deaths (Absurdist) Characters: Man 1: Man dressed childishly. Male aged 18+ Man 2: Man dressed older. Male aged 18+ Woman: Woman with hair in neat bun. Female aged 18+ Play #4: Treetop Actress Synopsis: A famous actress is being interviewed by one of her friends for a magazine article. (Drama) Characters: Milo: An Interviewer for a magazine. Male aged 25+ Laurel: An Actress promoting her career. Female aged 18+
