The Canadian ambassador to Moscow and his wife Marian who suffers from Alzheimers are brought back secretly to Canada and placed in a safe house after the murder of a young man in the Moscow embassy. Also in the house are two special agents investigating the murder. Is he under suspicion? Who was the young man, was he a friend or a lover? What can Marian recall of their time in Moscow as she slips away from reality into her own little world? What plans does the ambassadors long time friend and now Minister for External Affairs Michael Riordon have for them as he pushes to become the next Prime Minister of Canada.
