Director: Roy Mears Musical Director: Geoff Earle Choreographer: Joy Curtis INFORMATION NIGHT: 8pm, Thursday 31 January, 2008 at PARKDALE CHURCH OF CHRIST, 174 COMO PDE, PARKDALE Audition Dates: Adults (minimum age 16) : Tuesday 5, Wednesday 6, Thursday, 7 February Dance Auditions: Thursday, 7 February, 8.00 - 9.15pm (Adults ) Sunday, 17 February, 2.00-3.15pm (Juveniles) Auditions for Juvenile Performers (boys aged 10 - 15): Sunday, 17 February Audition Requirements: ADULTS will be required to sing an excerpt of a song from the show at auditions and read an excerpt from the script. Sheet music for the selected song excerpts will be made available well prior to the auditions. ALL CAST required to attend the dance auditions. The only adult non-dancing roles are BUMBLE, CORNEY and SIKES. JUVENILE PERFORMERS will be auditioned in groups of four and will also be asked to sing an excerpt of a song from the show and read an excerpt of the script. ALL will be required to attend the dance audition on Sunday, 17 February from 2.00-3.15pm The Director will be delighted if some of the juveniles have special skills, particularly being able to play a musical instrument, or gymnastics. Role of OLIVER: 10-12 years, slim, angelic Role of DODGER: 12-15 years, worldly wise OTHER BOYS: 10 - 15 years, will double as orphans and Fagin's gang. (children 6 months or so outside these age ranges will be considered) ALSO REQUIRED: A DOG for the role of BULLS EYE. Ideally an ugly, dirty white Pit Bull Terrier with a black eye (or makeup), a limp and well trained.
