SYNOPSIS:
SAM BALLANS is a bit of a loner; he is intelligent but unappreciated in life. One of Sam’s outlets is talk-back radio – a medium he uses to express his (often valid) opinions. Over the course of a few days, Sam listens to the radio talk-back show of FRASER PHELPS, a notable talk-back host, on Radio 3OTT. Fraser is successful at what he does but he's also a bigot. He doesn't like callers who cross him and isn't afraid to shoot them down on air. One of those callers is Sam. TUNE IN traces a series of on-air exchanges between Sam and Fraser and how these contrast with their 'off-air' lives. The film concludes with the revelation of Fraser's desperation and Sam getting his comeuppance.
ACTORS REQUIRED FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
SAM:
Male: late 20s – early 30s
Sam is the Protagonist and is well-informed and intelligent but no one really knows this because he’s a bit of a loner. Sam likes talk-back radio and uses this as an outlet to ex-press some of his opinions. Sam particularly dislikes the views of radio host Fraser Phelps.
FRASER:
Male: 30-something
Fraser is a popular talk-back host on Radio 3OTT’s “Be Heard” morning program. Fraser is mildly intelligent but he verges on being a ‘shock jock’. Fraser on-air bravado and public success masks his marriage problems.
