I Choose to Block Your Chainsaw with my Face! 2nd Audition

"I Choose to Block Your Chainsaw With My Face!" is a short film comedy poking fun at various establsihed murder mystery and who done it movies and TV shows by mixing characters from various genres and eras. Audtions will take place on Saturday the 11th of August and Sunday the 12 of August at the Old Observatory 4 Havelock Street West Perth from 10am to 7pm We are looking for actors to fill the roles below if you are interested please email Johan at shadowofboom@hotmail.com for a copy of the script. Cast Peter Lumley: Male 30+ (Columbo & Sam Spade) Broken down has been private eye, seems laid back at time and other times is quite overly excited. Peter likes to do his own narration even when he is doing everyday things. Peter is never without his trench coat hat and half lit cigar. Renard Mustafa: Male 20+ (Citizen Smith) Raving communist revolutionary try hard wannabe. His knowledge and motives are almost there but not quite but he tries really hard and as a result has a short temper. He was wearing a Che Guevara T-shirt before it was cool or at least that’s what he claims. Father Viridian: Male 30+ New age poncho wearing spiritual healer hippie, strict vegetarian. Has a vast collection of beads and crystals and likes to perform various weird rituals at the drop of a hat. Likes to think he can spout wisdom with various degrees of unsuccessfulness. Henrietta Peabody: Female 25+ (Rosemary & Thyme) An eccentric gardener, who is never without her watering can and can break down any situation into a metaphor or simile about gardening. Missy Redding: Female 18+ (Buffy) Super model chosen one who in spite of being match stick thin with the muscle mass of a blade of grass, is an unstoppable fighting machine. She also wears a ‘Slayer’ T-shirt just so everyone knows who she is because she doesn’t want to have to waste time remembering a word while she is trying to be vapid and shallow. Corey Specs: Male 18+ A nerd with thick glasses who if he survives will no doubt register his disgust on the internet. Victoria McMillim: Female 18+ The obsessed clean freak who wears tissue boxes on her feet. Paranoid of germs and is well armed with various aerosol sprays Snively: Male 25+ The Butler, somewhat clueless but always helpful. Presumably employed by Xavier Black although no one thinks to ask. Mason: Male 25+ (Jason Voorhees) The masked serial killer, who is lurking around the grounds of the mansion, favours the use of an axe or a chainsaw. Xavier Black: Male Voice Over only The mysterious host for the evening and seems to hold a grudge against everyone there, including the Top Hat from Monopoly. Mack Beige: Male 30+ (Dirty Harry/McGarnigle) The angry cop who gets results by not playing by the book. Wears bland clothes and likes to head butt things and is willing to solve crimes for sandwiches. Ray Schultz: Male 18+ A character written in as a last minute plot device…what does he know? What does he do? Who is he working for? You would have to ask Agatha Christie to find out…and she’s already dead. Death: Male Death the gatherer of souls, he figured something big was going down so he decided to tag along. Mad Bikini Bomber: Female 18+ Like all blondes in red swimsuits she is an ex Special Forces agenti trained in the use of high explosives but was brainwashed into thinking she was a lifeguard until one day something snapped. Chef: Male The eccentric and possibly psychotic chef hired to cook the meals for Xavier Black’s guests.
