ACTORS and DANCERS needed for Melbourne Fringe production LULU VS JACK THE RIPPER Performance dates: 28th- 29th September 5th-6th October 12th -13th October Produced as a part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival Hub, Lulu vs Jack the Ripper is a performance/installation based on German dramatist Frank Wedekind’s original banned work the Lulu Plays and G.W. Pabst’s silent film Pandora’s Box. The story of Lulu is one of obsession, sexuality and violence. Lulu is the archetypal femme fatale, at once sensual and innocent, a force of uninhibited sexuality; she brings ruin on all her lovers both male and female. The final scene sees her facing the most notorious killer of our time; Jack the Ripper. The performance will feature dance, video art, an original score penned by Ryan ‘RHyNO’ Ritchie of Melbourne hip hop/jazz act True Live.
