Don's Party

The University Dramatic Society is pleased to announce auditions for their upcoming season of ‘Don’s Party’ by David Williamson. Rehearsals will start from 29 July 2007, with the season running from the 27th to 29th of September and the 3rd to the 6th of October. Roles Available Don – Passionate left wing Aussie bloke. A bull-s$@t artist Kath – Don’s wife. Sick of Don’s bull-s$%t. Mal – Don’s best mate. Has a penchant for obsequiousness and bull-s&%t Jenny – Mal’s wife. Cooley – Life is merely “shitting, shagging and shaving.” Susan – Cooley’s plaything…and Don’s? Simon – Liberal conservative, uptight accountant. Jody – Simon’s wife. Proud to be right wing, and not afraid to say it. Kerry – Soon to be Cooley’s plaything. An artist. Evan – Kerry’s husband…soon to be ex-husband? A Dentist. Mack – His wife’s just left him, or did he leave her? Also required is a male voice over for television which will be pre-recorded Actors are not required to be familiar with the script; however, knowledge of the characters and possessing some background information and awareness of the plot and sub-plots would impress the Director immensely. Auditions Monday 23rd, Tuesday 24th and Thursday 26th of July between 12-2pm at the Bradley Studio, behind the Octagon at UWA. Callbacks will be between 12-2pm on Friday 27th of July if necessary.
