Written in 1999 and set at the turn of the 19th century Boston Marriage is an incisive satire that highlights repressed desire and class hostility whilst debunking Victorian pretensions and hypocrisies. A delicious three hander for women Mamets sharp, witty, rhythmic speech aligns with a thoroughly Wildean world with hilarious outcomes.
