Hearts on fire A musical cabaret of love, lust, greed, jealousy, denial, betrayal, innocence... and the occasional dance break. Director/Choreographer- ROBBIE CARMELLOTTI Musical Director- KATE MACDONALD Co-Choreographer- BRICE SEDGWICK Production Manager- LAURA IRELAND *Audition requirements All auditionees must attend a movement/dance audition and a solo audition with the production team. Auditionees must also be prepared to attend a call back. We intend on taking you out of your comfort zone, given the nature of the show, so please be willing to go with our ideas and trust our judgement. Please bring to the audition a small headshot and an up-to-date CV. AVAILABLE ROLES x5 Principle Female's x5 Principle Males x6 Supporting Female's x6 Supporting Males x4 Female Ensemble x4 Male Ensemble x1 Child role (boy or girl) to look 10 yo, and can TAP There are dancing and non-dancing lead, supporting and ensemble roles available. SOLO AUDITION, PLEASE PREPARE; x 1 Song that shows off your vocal style Bring sheet music in the correct key. Backing tracks will be accepted. Be prepared for a scale test. Please know your song very well as we will be doing some work with it away from its original context (this will be done at the production teams discretion) x 1 Joke or funny story/funny monologue Be prepared to get experimental with your material, no boring jokes. Be open minded, relaxed and try to have fun… We want to see your versatility and creative side. Movement audition *Every auditionee is to attend this workshop based movement audition, wear comftorable clothes. Dance Audition *This is by appointment and invitation only, and only for those wanting lead dance roles. We would encourage everyone to do this audition but it will not affect your chances in being cast if you do not not it. However you will not receive any solo dance or featured dance positions if you do not attend. Call Backs Call backs will be needed for some of the principle roles (not all of them), so don’t be disheartened if you’re not given a call back, it purely means we’ve already decided on your place in the show. There will be as minimal call backs as possible, but as many as is needed. *Arrive at audition 10 mins early to fill out your audition form Audition Dates Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th July.
