Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know

Macquarie Uni Musical Society (MacMS) is holding auditions for its production, a musical comedy revue entitled "Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know". Although we are a mainly student-based society, we welcome all comers! Auditions will be held on Thursday June 14th at 11AM to 4PM in the University's Lighthouse Theatre, where the performances are also to be held in August. The theatre is located in Gymnasium Rd, Macquarie Uni (off Culloden Rd, Ryde). The requirements are as follows: Singers – please prepare one song in the style of an upbeat show tune. eg. musical comedy, NOT Andrew Lloyd Weber or Les Mis etc. If you're stuck for ideas, please contact Tegan (miss_teegs@hotmail.com) for suggestions. There will be no accompanist on the day, so the songs will be sung a capella, unless you bring your own backing track on CD, which is fine. Please be prepared to read from a script on the day if need be. Dancers - We would like to see a short, funky jazz dance to upbeat jazz music. It can be something you've choreographed, learnt in class or are making up on the spot. Musicians - We are after a piano player with good reading and performing skills, and also percussionists with a good improvisational flair.
