Actors for Outdoor Shakespeare

We are in need of young (20-30), energetic actors for profit-share productions of Shakespeare's ‘As You Like It’ and ‘Snow White’. These productions will be performed outdoors in the Como Gardens (Melbourne), Apollo Bay, Colac, Lorne and The Briars Homestead (Mt. Martha) from 7th December 2005 to 5th February 2006. Accommodation and basic living expenses in Apollo Bay and Lorne will be provided.

Rehearsals will be in Melbourne, commencing mid-October. It is important to be ready to work hard, as it is expected that all cast make themselves available to assist in the production and promotion of the shows. We have successfully staged this style of production for the last 4 years, and have found it to be rewarding both financially and creatively.

Auditions will be held on Wednesday 28th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th September. Auditions will be in 15-minute blocks. All auditionees will be required to prepare one Shakespeare piece, not from the show, participate in improvisations and be familiar with the story of ‘Snow White’.
