Male roles are still available in the forthcoming production of the new show Follow the Light, a quirky and original musical based (loosely) on the story of Christmas, aimed at a general crowd of young adults, adults and the young at heart regardless of race or creed.
Actors aged 18-35 are invited to audition, with the criteria being a strong singing voice, and some acting/movement experience.
The roles available are:
GABE - The leading character of the show, cool, suave and charismatic.
He is the middle man between the human characters and the Big Guy in the Sky, and sings a variety of styles, including pop, rock, disco, gospel and emotive ballad.
GASPER - The first of three Wise Men, all of whom sing pop/rock/groove and incongruously speak
with a "street"/surfy attitude despite being geniuses. Gasper is the leader of the group.
MEL - Another Wise Man, a mix of Gasper's "normality" and the extreme
"surfiness" of Bart, the third Wise Man.
BART - The coolest and most laidback of the trio -- "whoa, dude" being his common catchphrase. And he's brilliant-minded. They all are.
