Warrandyte Theatre Company Production - "Honour" The Warrandyte Theatre Company would like to issue an Open Invitation for all interested in the upcoming production "Honour". The play is to be directed by long time member and talented director Nolene Cooper who will be supported by Lea Stringer as Assistant Director. About the Play 'HONOUR' premiered in the PLAYBOX THEATRE COMPANY's 1995 season at the Malthouse for which it won the 1996 Victorian Premier's award for Best Drama. It has since been widely acclaimed when performed nationally and internationally including on Broadway and in the West End. It has been translated into many languages including Japanese, Spanish, Hebrew and more. It was produced in Melbourne again in 2004 [Melbourne Theatre Company] and played to packed houses.] 'HONOUR' is a simple story of love and betrayal that exposes the emotion, tragedy and complexity of a marriage breakdown. Characters Honour: - a beautiful and elegant woman in her late fifties. George: - Honour's husband. An attractive youthful man - late fifties Sophie: - their 24 year old daughter Claudia: - a striking young woman in her late twenties George and Honour, middle aged and well to do couple, have a contented, comfortable and settled life - a perfect marriage. George meets Sophie and very suddenly the lives of at least three are filled with uncertainty, confusion and distress.
