Melville Theatre Company will audition for their July one-act season on TUESDAY JUNE 6TH FROM 7.30 PM There are 3 plays. 1. Jamies Chooks a comedy by Vanessa Jensen. Director Vanessa Jensen. 0413.079.146 required 4 females 30 + A short modern play that looks inside the kitchen and life of Kate and 3 of her friends. They meeet monthly to talk,cook,drink,cook,laugh,cook and share just about everything until one day .... 2. Lunch Hour a play by John Mortimer. Director Constance Ord 9367.4374 required 1 male 40+ 1 female 20+ 1 female 50ish Two lovers meet in a cheap hotel room one lunch-time. to preserve respectability He tells the Managerss that he is expecting his wife, the mother of his 3 children. The girl arrives knowing nothing of this and is surprised by the Manageress's sympathy. however she soon comes to identify with the fictional mother and leaves angrily. 3. But Yesterday a play by Jimmie Chinn Director Brenda Stanley 9417.2801 required 1 male 30+ 1 male 40-5- 2 females 30+ 1 female 40-50 a hauntingly enigmatic play. Robert comes back to his childhood garden before leaving on a journey and relives moments from his past which become mingled with the present.Two men in the shadows accompany himand they escort him to his new life leaving behind a bewildered family.
